The Senior Pattern Colombia (Antioquia's chapter) had its first meeting in February 24th and had 12 contestants in three main categories: Newcomers, advanced and experts.
It was a nice day competing and receiving feedback in a superb field at 2142m (7027ft) amsl.
It was an overcast day with small drizzles. My PowerBox Systems DigiSwitch LED was visible in the take off of my last flight, it was dark…
Thanks to Corporación Club Campestre and Ricardo Pérez as contest director, to organize this event and to my sponsors: JR Americas, TronexRC, Mejzlik props and Zerie Ropa de ciclismo. |

Senior Pattern Colombia 2017 championship
Senior Pattern Colombia expert standings 2017
Clasificación categorÃa Senior Pattern Colombia expertos 2017
I write this blog in English language, due I have an abroad audience.
Since 1991 I had not flew this kind of models, i.e. .61 2 stroke engine. It took me a while to get again the feeling, the high speed and lack of power. My refurbished and lightened, built in 1998, Dirty Birdy "Gladiator" has an stock OS .65 engine installed with a soft mount, 13x8 propeller, TX JR XG-11 / digital JR mini servos 3121, DigiSwitch + 250mAh LIPO receiver battery, Pilot landing gear retracts and packaged in 2950 grams. I will improve the model to obtain better flying characteristics for the 2018 season.

2017 was a tough competition, with great pilots, friendship and about 50 contestants in the main categories.
Thanks to the sponsors: My family!, JR Americas, TronexRC, Mejzlik props, Zerie Ropa de ciclismo, MD Carlos Uribe and MD Carlos Forero for coaching me the competition flights in the championship.
